Family Service Center hosted “An Evening with Scott Turow” from 7 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2012.

One hundred twenty people enjoyed cocktails and appetizers during the event, held at the Michigan Shores Club in Wilmette.

$14,000 was raised through ticket sales, donations, raffle and sponsors. All proceeds will be used to support subsidized family counseling services in the communities of Glenview, Kenilworth, Northbrook and Wilmette.

Family Service Center is a not-for-profit corporation supported partly by grants from the United Way, townships and foundations. Corporate and individual contributions, client fees and board fundraising efforts make up the remainder of Family Service Center’s fund sources.
