A free piano concert will take place at Skokie’s Grand Piano Haus at 3 p.m. May 20 with donations accepted for relief for victims of last year’s Japan tsunamai.

The concert features Matthew Hagle, director of musicianship at the Music Institute of Chicago, and Mio Hagle, Merit School of Music teacher. Donations will be accepted and will be used to buy books for children in Japan affected by last year’s earthquake and tsunami, via WELS Christian Aid and Relief.

Seating is very limited; so attendees are asked to reserve a spot by emailing a name and the number of seats you require to pianolovejapan@gmail.com. Gates open at 2:30 p.m. at Grand Piano Haus, at 3640 W. Dempster, Skokie.
