Hanukkah ceremony lights up Westfield Old Orchard

A light rain wasn’t enough to keep a healthy crowd away from Westfield Old Orchard’s annual menorah lighting ceremony marking the first night of Hanukkah.
Hanukkah was ushered in Dec. 20 by the Beth Hillel Congregation Bnai Emunah. Guest Cantor Pavel Roytman oversaw the ceremony and the Beth Hillel Congregation Bnai Emunah junior choir filled the air with Hanukkah songs.
Another lighting was scheduled for Dec. 22 near the serpent play area at the Old Orchard mall.
Hanukkah this year is scheduled from Dec. 20 to Dec. 28.
